Your dog doesn't need to behave
Every pet session I’ve done has involved a good ten minutes of an animal completely ignoring me. That’s fine. That’s the plan.
I don’t do stiff, studio-lit pet portraits where everyone leaves stressed. I come to wherever your animal is most at ease — your living room, your garden, a trail you walk every morning — and I stay long enough for them to get bored of me. That’s when the real photographs start.
Straight with you: most of my pet sessions so far have been for friends and their dogs rather than paying clients. I’m building this side of things up, which means you get an unhurried session and my full attention.

Plan the session
We pick a location and a time of day that suits the light and your pet's routine.
The shoot
Usually one to two hours, at your pace. Treats, toys and breaks encouraged.
Gallery & prints
Edited images in a private gallery at full resolution, with a realistic date agreed up front.

As long as it takes
Sessions run one to two hours. If your dog needs a nap in the middle, we take a nap.

Home, garden, park, trail or beach, anywhere across the Triangle.

Every edited frame, delivered at print size in a private gallery.

Things people ask
My dog won't sit still for anything. Is this going to work?
Yes, and honestly it usually works better. Movement makes for good photographs. I shoot fast and I plan for chaos.
Do you photograph animals other than dogs?
Cats, horses, rabbits, reptiles — yes. Cats generally need to be photographed at home where they feel safe.
Where do sessions happen?
Wherever your animal is happiest. I cover Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex and Wake Forest as standard.
How long does a session take?
Plan for one to two hours. I don’t run a stopwatch — we finish when we’ve got the photographs.
Can I be in the photos?
Please do. Some of the best frames are the ones with the person the animal actually loves in them.
What does it cost?
It depends on the location and length of the session. Send me a note and you’ll have pricing the same day or the next.
